23.05.13 - Great Yarmouth Beer and Cider Festival
St. Georges Theatre welcomes the Great Yarmouth Beer and Cider Festival as it’s venue for 2013.  The annual event, now in its 7th year, will be hosted at St. Georges from 23rd to 26th May. Over 50 different ales from a wide selection of breweries will be available over the weekend long event plus a large selection of the increasingly popular locally produced ciders. As well as a great selection of real ales and ciders the festival promises some great music with a fantastic line up of live performers. Each session will include performances from talented local artists providing reflective acoustic songs and sounds for lunchtime sessions followed by more up beat lively music during the evening sessions. ‘Banjaxeld’, a three piece playing blues, soul and funk will headline the opening session on Thursday 23rd May, whilst ‘Feral Mouth’ will be playing their own distinct combination of Bluegrass, Folk and Country music on Friday evening with rock combo Blindside performing a variety of popular covers to bring the Saturday night session to a close. The full line by session in order of appearance is as follows: Thursday 23rd evening; The Written, Junk Shop Poets, Banjaxeld Friday 24th lunchtime; Dougie Archer, Jude Garrod Friday 24th evening: Sepiatones, Fuelled by Rose, Addisons Uncle, Feral Mouth Saturday 25th lunchtime; Flaming Apes, Banjax Saturday 25th evening: Kolin Durier, Also Known As, Graham Stacey, Blindside Sunday 26th lunchtime: Jimmy Roe, The Missing Piece. The live music is being co-ordinated by music promoters "BROKEN SEVEN EVENTS" who are closely linked with the music scene, having put on numerous gigs and music showcases around the area.
