Christmas Late Night Shopping and entertainment

Wednesday 16th December 2015

With shops and the Ice Rink open until late and free parking after 4pm in Borough Council town centre car parks and free family entertainment in the Town Centre.

This Wednesday (16 December) shoppers in Great Yarmouth will be able to enjoy music, mayhem and fire as part of their shopping experience.

In the third week of Great Yarmouth Town Centre Partnership’s programme of festive entertainment, SeaChange Arts will be staging another seasonal selection of street entertainment.

Norfolk-based Swinging Jazz band, The Lumiere Jazz Quartet, will serenade shoppers with their take on some timeless Christmas Classics.  They will be joined by acapella five piece, Retro Rhapsody, as they revamp your favourite Christmas tunes with vintage vocals and festive antics.

As the evenings are getting chillier, you will be able to enjoy the music from Great Yarmouth’s very own fire garden, which will be set up outside Palmers Department Store.  The garden will include seating and sculptures inspired by H.G. Wells and Jules Verne, all containing an element of fire to help keep the frost at bay.

Mischievous elves will also be at play, opening the doors to Santa’s ‘Grotty’ for one last time. They have heard that Santa will be home soon, and plan to make the most of their final night of freedom with as much mayhem as they can possibly muster!

Performances take place in Great Yarmouth Market Square from 6-8pm and are free.
