Saturday 11th June 2016
Venue: Market Place Performance Are

In association with the Great Yarmouth Arts Festival the Town Centre Partnership is supporting an event being held in Great Yarmouth Market Place to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s official 90th Birthday on Saturday 11th June.

There will be live music and dancing performed by local musicians and dance groups, a children’s crown making workshop, a bouncy castle and community stands and stalls. A charity cake stall will be run by the Great Yarmouth Lions Club who will be selling cake donated by Palmers, Greggs and Sainsbury’s. The cake portions will be served on union jack plates and customers will be able to eat them on specially decorated tables and chairs in the market square whilst enjoying the live entertainment. Proceeds from the cakes will be going towards the many local good causes that the Great Yarmouth Lions Club supports. A craft making workshop will be running alongside the performance area where children will be able to design and make their own royal crown and wavers with help from Jankie D’s Community Workshops. A number of local community groups will be taking part with charity stalls and tombola’s including a bouncy castle in aid of the Batten Disease Family Association.

Times
The event starts at 10am in the market square with live music until 4pm and the crafts workshop open until 3pm when the crowns will be judged with a prize for the best dressed king or queen.
