Spanish Tall Ship Visit

28/05/2024 - 09/06/2024

A stunning replica of a 17th century Spanish galleon will be sailing into Great Yarmouth at the end of May.

Galeon Andalucia is described as a floating, living museum that showcases the history of such vessels and the period they operated in, supported by crew in period costumes.

The tall ship’s arrival coincides with half term and will be open to the public on South Quay from 10am until 8pm from May 28 until June 9.

The replica Spanish galleon has more than 900 sq metres of sail and is 162 ft long and 33 ft wide. She carries ten cast iron cannons on each side. Ships such as Galeon Andalucia took the lead role in trade and cultural routes that were the world’s longest in length and lasted longer than any other in the history of maritime navigation.

Galeon Andalucia has six decks that offer a range of features, exhibits and live displays. Group visits from local schools and educational groups are popular, along with hosting receptions and corporate events.

Tickets are available to buy online now at tickets.velacuadra.es and will always be available on the quay during her visit. Tickets cost £12 per adult, £6 per child (5-10 years old) or £30 for a family ticket for two adults and up to three children (5-10 years old).
