Stone Angel Concert plus support

Friday 28th November 2008
Venue: St. Nicholas Church

As part of the Christmas Fayre weekend Stone Angel are performing a concert in St. Nicholas Church. A local band who find their inspiration in the traditional folk music of the Norfolk Broads area, interpreting it with diverse influences from early music, through baroque and jazz, to rock. Their instrumentation is also varied, with guitars, keyboards, bass, and flute sitting alongside less familiar instruments including dulcimer, cittern, psaltery and crumhorn.

Stone Angel will be supported by Gorleston based folk singer/songwriter Frankie. She sings old stories of land and sea, as well as her own tales of seagulls, dragonflies and the Blue-Eyed Tinker. Her music is recognisable by a gentle fingerpicked guitar style, put to use in beautifully crafted arrangements.

The concert starts at 7.30pm with doors open at 7pm. Tickets are £5 each and can be purchased by cheque by writing to the Town Centre Partnership, in person from Albion News on King Street (cash only) or by PayPal using the 'Buy Now' button below.
