Summer Sundays week five

The fifth and final weekly live music event takes place in the market place this Sunday. The weekly ‘Summer Sunday’ events have brought a bit of Caribbean sunshine to Great Yarmouth town centre with a combination of live music, street food and children's craftmaking activities and this week is no exception. 

DJ and radio presenter Apollo Dan will introduce this weeks live performances whilst maintaining the summer feel good vibe with the very best recordings of reggae music from the soundstage.  

Headlining this final week of Summer Sundays is Jamaican recording artist, Troydon Bent. Born in Portmore, Jamaica, Troydon has released 4 albums under the Gidians Records label, copies of his latest album 'Looking From The Inside Out' will be available to buy on Sunday.

Other acts performing on Sunday include ‘Differential’ a Norwich based singer songwriter who combines acoustic guitar with beats from his mouth, Jamaican born Jon Pecos will also be sharing his own particular style of Reggae as will reggae/dancehall artist Kutti, who also hails from Portmore, Jamaica. Local dance group Afroluso will be performing some dance moves during the day.  



Times
The live music will take place on a unique solar powered camper van stage in the market square from 11am 3.00pm and the Summer Sunday will also incorporate a childrenís craft making workshop, Jamaican street food, face painting, merchandise and recording sales by the participating artists. Jankie Dís workshops will be hosting the childrenís craft making which will also be Caribbean themed to include friendship bracelets, Rasta style peg dolls, Rain sticks, feathered and sequined headdresses and florist ribbons in Jamaican colours.
