Christmas Lantern Parade

Join in the Great Yarmouth Christmas Lantern Parade on Wednesday 15th December.

The Annual Town Centre Christmas lantern Parade returns with the festive spectacle of up to 200 handmade lanterns parading around the market place. The Christmas Lantern Parade will take place from 6.00pm on Wednesday 15th December and is planned to finish at Great Yarmouth Minster ahead of the annual Civic Carol Service. For people to join in the fun, a number of drop in workshops are planned where they can come and make a lantern. The lanterns are made of willow and tissue paper and take around 1-2 hours to make which you can then take with you to bring it to the lantern parade. The workshops are free to participate in and all the materials are supplied free courtesy of Great Yarmouth Town Centre Partnership. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Dates and locations of the workshops to be confirmed
